Anita Gale Jensen

Mrs Jensen was born on September 24, 1935 in Flint Michigan to Allert and Irene (Williams) Lokken. She has been a resident of the Newark area since 1978. Anita was married to Julius Theodore (Ted) Jensen Jr. on March 30, 1963 in Charleston S. C. and had one child Jeffrey J. Jensen. Anita was an Airman 1st class in the United States Air Force, and later a Procurement specialist with the Corp of Engineers. Upon being medically retired from the Corp of Engineers, she attended Texas Women’s University where she earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the age of 64. During Anita’s life time she was a member of International Training and Communication where she held many offices at the club and regional levels; as well as being in the National Honor Society, and Who’s Who. Anita is preceded in death by her husband Julius T. Jensen Jr. sisters Audrey Cleeves and Jane Falk and brother Allert (Sonny) Lokken. She is Survived by her son Jeffrey J. Jensen, daughter in law Sheryl A. Jensen also of Newark, Texas. Three grandchildren, Raina, Daniel, and Terry as well as 13 great grandchildren. She is also survived by Richard R. Lokken and Diane of Clovis NM. Visitation and celebration of Anita’s life will be held from 4-8 pm on Tuesday September 8, 2015. At Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel and Cemetery. Funeral Service will be held on September 9, 2015 in the chapel at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel at 1:00 pm with a Graveside service immediately following the chapel service.
