Polo was born January 8, 1936 to Amado and Eustacia Villafaña in Asa, TX. He was a very quiet and very respectful person; although, he had a prankster side.
He served in the Army during the Korean campaign. He met the love his life, Carol, in Waco, Texas where they both worked at Swift Company. They were married for over 50 years.
They moved to Fort Worth where he went to work for United States Cold Storage later Texas Cold Storage until he retired after 37 years. As a youth, he learned how to rope, lasso, and crack a bullwhip. He picked up these hobbies again after his retirement.
Polo and Carol enjoyed traveling, and many trips were planned via casino stops. They were very active with their church, Immaculate Heart of Mary in various areas. They didn’t stop there. They also worked various elections starting with early voting.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol Villafaña; his parents; and his brother, Ralph Villafaña.
Polo is survived by his son, Domingo Villafaña and his wife, Judi of Azle, TX; daughter, Rachel Jaso of Fort Worth; grandchildren; Tony Jaso and his wife, Marlena of Fort Worth, TX, and Christopher Jaso of Crowley; brothers, Domingo, Refugio, and his wife, Emma, Angel and his wife, Debbie, Juan Villafaña, and his wife, Judy Surita; sisters, Guadalupe Lopez, Frances Quinones, Nancy Villafaña and Donna Salinas.
