

Arlena E. Dozier, 93, Fort Worth, Texas passed away on April 20, 2026. She was born in Fort Worth, Texas on May 21, 1932, to Clyde H Cartwright and Bertha A. Craig Cartwright. She graduated from Polytechnic High School in Fort Worth, Texas.
She was married to Kenneth C. Dozier for 70 years and was a dedicated housewife who supported her husband as they traveled around while serving in the Air Force. She also worked in retail for Sears and Roebuck & Co for many years.
Family and Faith were important to Arlena, hosting many family gatherings during the holidays and birthday celebrations. She was a member of The Welcome Table Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) formerly Sandy Lane Christian Church. Arlena served as a Sunday School teacher, deacon, church historian and in the choir, as well as other ministries. She was President of the NCO wives club while they were stationed overseas. She and her husband volunteered for Meals on Wheels and the Neighborhood Code Blue organization.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Dozier, her parents, siblings Herschel, Margaret and Lois, two daughters-in-law, one nephew and one niece. She is survived by three sons Jeffery Dozier and wife Bea, Glenn Dozier and Melvin Dozier, seven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and three nephews.
Memorials may be sent to The Welcome Table Christian Church or St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
Visitation will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, US, on April 28, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

A Committal Service will be held at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134, US, on April 29, 2026, from 3:00 pm to 3:30 pm.
