

Arthur “Art” Montaña, 62, of Keller, Texas, unexpectedly passed away November 3, 2021. He was born in Yuma, AZ to Arthur “Gordo” and Mary Lou “Lulu”. He would happily tell you he was the first born and didn’t let his siblings forget. Artie graduated from Yuma High School, which is known for having one of the most unique mascots “Criminals” in the United States. Shortly after graduation, Art joined the United States Army where he served four years.
Art worked for the City of Yuma for a number of years before moving to Texas. Once settled in Texas, he worked as a HVAC technician with Aspen Air Conditioning and Heating. In his work, he served a number of people, but his smile and jovial personality are remembered most.
Art is survived by two sons Brandon (Alyssa) and Bryan; grandson Anthony; one sister Lisa (Rich) Richardson; and his nephew Randy. He also leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss him.
Art was preceded in death by father “Gordo”, mother “Lulu” and brother Albert.
Art was a dedicated father and grandfather. He was easygoing and a wonderful friend to many that were fortunate to meet him.
A memorial gathering-visitation will be held Friday, November 19, 2021 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Shannon Rufe Snow Drive Funeral Chapel. Additional services will be held in Yuma, AZ on Saturday, December 4, 10:00 AM at Yuma Mortuary, followed by a Celebration of Life.
