Austin Paul Sanders was born September 29, 1987, to Stephen and Natha Sanders, the younger brother of Kristin Sanders Smith. Austin attended Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Worth, Texas and was completing his undergraduate degree in Accounting at the University of Texas at Arlington. Austin was an avid outdoorsman, enjoyed hunting and fishing as well as hiking and camping. He was passionate about his interests and hobbies, in particular Christian music. He had developed an interest and competency in currency and cryptocurrency trading and had enjoyed early successes, looking forward to a career in that arena of world finance. He had a bright and curious mind, given to the assimilation of complex, technical information.
Austin’s father, Stephan, was stricken with Parkinson’s Disease, which required Austin to become a caregiver. Austin became extremely knowledgeable in all areas of the subject. His mastery of medical technology and pharmacology related to Parkinson’s resulted in the amelioration of his father’s condition and extension of his life. The passion with which he pursued information related to his father’s disease motivated him to learn and apply new knowledge with respect to other health care issues, including mental illness. He advocated for additional research and resources, providing help for others struggling with those issues.
He was dearly loved by his family and will always be remembered for his curious mind, gentle spirit, sweet smile and great sense of humor.
Austin passed away on October 15, 2021, survived by his sister, Kristin and her husband Ben Smith, his aunts and uncles: David Sanders and wife Judy of Fort Worth; Ronnie and Hollie Marshall and Wayne and Linda Marshall of Weatherford; his aunt Connie Marshall of Aledo, various cousins in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. He was preceded in death by his mother, Natha, and his father, Stephen, stepmother Penelope “Penny” Sanders, as well as his maternal and paternal grandparents, Kenneth and Ruby Sanders of Fort Worth and Nathan and Dorothy Marshall of Weatherford.
