Bahmel (Mel) Valentin was born on October 17, 1968 in Staten Island, New York. He was the youngest of four sons born to Gladys and Julio Valentin. Assisted by his brother Sy, he went to California in 1993 to have a better life than he had in New York. He Graduated from Long Beach City College with a degree in Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, and worked in a private hotel as the live-in maintenance man. He was also a very talented artist who had a passion for Urban Art and Graffitti. When sickness took away his ability to work regular, he was invited to come to Texas and live with his brother Sy, his sister in law Karen, and his 92 year old father Julio. His life’s journey ended on June 4th 2024, he was 55 years old. We thank God that he was able to spend his final months surrounded by his family, after living over 35 years alone. He is survived by his father Julio, His Brother Sy and his wife Karen; His Brother Nahmed and his wife Carolina; and his brother Rahmet. Also his nieces Virginia, Raquel, and India as well as his nephews Angelo, Christian and Victor.
