Mrs. Barbara Collins

Barbara Watson was born on January 28, 1948, to parentage Archie Gray, Sr. and Annell Watson. She received her education at Campbell Grove Elementary (Richland, Texas), Washington High School (Groesbeck, Texas). Barbara worked several years and retired from Texas Instruments in Richardson, Texas. Barbara met and married Robert Collins of Antioch Community, June 24, 1967, and later moved to Fort Worth, Texas. She was a faithful and loving wife until his demise. One son was born to this union, Rodney Collins. She gave her life to Christ in 1968 and joined the Golden Gate Church of God In, Christ under the leadership of Supt. L. C. Castleberry and later became a member of Holy Tabernacle Church of God In Christ under the leadership of Supt. Robert L. Sample. Barbara loved to study the scriptures and frequently shared the beauty of the word of God in Sunday School and witnessed to many. Barbara was born to a family that was taught to love Christ and each other, and the love of family was demonstrated throughout her life. Barbara departed this life, September 12, 2025, in Fort Worth, Texas. She joins her husband of thirty-seven years, Robert Collins, Father Archie Gray, Sr., Mother Annell Watson Hammond who all whom all preceded her in death.

She leaves to cherish her memories, son, Rodney Collins (Bonita) ; five sisters, Elizabeth , Georgia, Angela Rena and Ramanda Miller (Lonnie); one brother, John Watson (Linda); three grandchildren, nine great grandchildren; two brothers in love Hugh & Uzell Collins (Ramona) two sisters in love, Kathy Webb & Helen Collins Epps; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, god children and friends.
