Barbara Ann Wright

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Barbara Ann (McKee) Wright, age 91, of North Richland Hills, Texas. She passed peacefully at home on December 7, 2025, surrounded by her loved ones.

Born on September 30, 1934, in Edwardsville, Kansas, to James and Ruth McKee, Barbara graduated from Bonner Springs High School, where she met the love of her life, Aaron Wright. Together, they raised three children and were deeply involved in all aspects of their lives. Barbara was a lifelong member of The United Methodist Church and participated in various civic and professional organizations. Upon retirement, she and Aaron devoted themselves to family activities, woodworking, and traveling in their motorhome.

Barbara was known for her strong work ethic, deep faith, sharp mind, and commitment to excellence in everything she did. She is remembered for the way she showed up for the people she loved, the way she offered comfort without needing to be asked, and the way her presence could bring a room to order.

Barbara is survived by her son David Wright; daughter Cathy Riegel; son-in-law Noel Cantrell; eight adoring grandchildren; twenty-one great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; two nephews; and a very large extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Wright; her daughter, Beth Cantrell; her daughter-in-law, Teresa Wright; and her grandson-in-law, Nick.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 13, at 12:30 PM at Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park, Court of Compassion, located at 5725 Colleyville Blvd. in Colleyville, TX 76034.
