It is with sorrow that we announce the passing of Becky I. Allen who went into the presence of her Savior and Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025. She was 76 years old. She was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin and friend who will be greatly missed by us all.
Becky Irene Allen was born on August 3, 1949 in Los Angeles, CA. Her parents were missionaries in Nigeria, Africa where she grew up and spent her childhood. She accepted Jesus Christ as her savior as a child and followed Him throughout her life. She graduated from Hillcrest High School in Jos, Nigeria in 1968. She worked as a payroll clerk at BIOLA University in La Mirada, CA for over 22 years. She lived in Northern California and then her last 23 years here in Burleson, Texas. Her last job before retirement was with the Small Business Administration processing loans for disaster relief victims.
Her favorite city in the world was Paris, France which she was able to visit several times. Her greatest passion in life was for art – to paint, to draw and to appreciate the beauty of this world through artistic expression brought her much joy. She liked glittery things, especially jewelry. She loved her animals – Pomeranians and cats. She took a week’s vacation each year, traveling to Gatlinburg, TN just to be close to anything and everything that was Dolly Parton. She was politically conservative and loved Donald J. Trump. Becky was the family historian. She knew all her 64 first cousin’s names, along with their spouses and kids. She kept up with their lives through FB. She liked following English royalty, movie stars, and just famous people in general. Tom Sellick was her favorite celebrity.
The mantel that Becky wore the proudest and wore it well was that of being the oldest sister. The care and love she gave to her siblings, parents and extended family was exemplary. It will be her legacy that will live on in the hearts of all of us who knew her.
Becky is survived by her two siblings and seven nieces and nephews: her sister, Betsy Lacy, her husband, Tim Lacy and their two daughters, Jana Kimball and Allison Heinrich; and her brother, Tim Allen, his wife, Aurora Allen and his children, Justin Timothy Lee Allen, Brandy Mae Nicole Harlow and Taylor John Mark Allen; and Kathy Dryden, the daughter of her brother Mark Allen. With these nieces and nephews, along with their children, made Becky a great aunt many times over.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Bob and Doris Allen and two brothers, Denny and Mark Allen.
The family invites relatives and friends to a celebration of Becky Allen’s life on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at 2:00 PM held in the chapel at Laurel Land Memorial Park – FW, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX 76134.
