Benedicta Salinas Veliz

She was Born December 3, 1946 in Ciudad Acuna, Coahuila, Mexico to Amador Salinas and Margarita Arredondo. She was named after her grandmother and aunt. She married Victor Manuel Veliz on July 8, 1966 at the federal courthouse in Del Rio, TX, and again at Parroquia de Santa Maria de Guadalupe in Ciudad Acuna on July 9. They had three children and were happily married for 59 years.

She is survived by her husband, daughter Norma A Westervelt, sons Victor M Veliz Jr and Miguel A Veliz and wife Daisy Veliz, grandchildren Michelle, Danielle, Ari and Kylee.

She was a loving sister, aunt and godmother to many. If she met you, she remembered you and you were family to her. She loved pineapple, cooking, baking and gardening. She loved to smile and take care of everyone she came in contact with.

A Rosary and Viewing will be held on January 6, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, located at 7100 Crowley Rd, Fort Worth, TX 76134.

The Funeral Service is scheduled for January 7, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am at the same venue.

Following the funeral, a Committal Service will take place from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.
