On April 19, 1931, Bessie Mae Chase was born to the late Lillian K. Harrison in Waco, Texas where she grew up. She was affectionately known to her family and close friends as “Bobbie”
She attended and graduated from school in Waco, Texas.
She later met and married the man she would go on to spend 64 years with, the late Mr. Charles F. Chase. To this union three children were born, Rosalind, Dwain, and Michael.
She worked as a chef at Top Chef in Waikiki, Hawaii and Sepia Publishing. She has traveled and seen many places.
She was a faithful member of the Pilgrim Valley Missionary Baptist Church for over 42 years. She served as a member of the Deaconess, Adult Bible Class 1, Easter Circle, Hands to Heart, General Mission, Mission #2 and the Women of Worship Choir. She was a great supporter of the PVMBC Youth Dept.
On July 20, 2020, God summoned her to rest. Those who have gone on to rest before her are her husband and two sons, Dwain D. Chase and Michael L. Chase.
Those left with fond memories are: Her daughter Rosalind G. Harris of Hawthorn, CA; grandson Andre C. Dennis of Hawthorn, CA; granddaughter Amber D. Chase of Frisco, TX; great grandchildren Vivian K. Cox, Peyton Cox and Bria D. Lewis; sisters Maybell Smith, Stella Burns, Gussie Miles, and Dorothy Harris of Waco, TX; brothers William Harrison Sr., Donnie Harrison, and Eddie Harrison; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
