The 5th of 9 children born to Joseph Ernest Mangrum and Ida Mae Wilson, Betty moved to Ft Worth in 1968 and lived here until her passing. Throughout her life Betty was a homemaker, cosmetologist, Salon owner, restaurant server and caregiver to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved watching TV, reading, coloring, collecting clowns, listening to Joel Osteen and playing Bingo. But the greatest love of her life were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Her greatest enjoyment was providing absolute, unconditional love and support to us all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Vernon, Maxie, James Allen and Bobby Lee Mangrum; and sisters Elizabeth, Louise and Nerine.
She is survived by sister Ernestine Smith of Lufkin, daughters Sharon, Charlotte and Dena all of Ft Worth, 7 Grandchildren, 10 Great Grandchildren, and many more extended family members. We will all miss her more than words could ever express. She was the best Mama, Grandma and Nanny anyone could ever hope for.
