Earlier in life, she graduated from Trinidad high school in Trinidad, Colorado and went on to earn a degree in Spanish from USC.
She married Lou Williamson in Trinidad on June 17, 1951., She later got certified as an RN at Saint Joseph School of Nursing in Fort Worth, Texas, after which she worked 20 years for the Fort Worth ISD as a school nurse.
She enjoyed playing bridge and poker, competitive shooting and camping, but she loved fishing most of all.
She is preceded in death by her Husband Lou Williamson and eldest son Scott Williamson.
She is survived by two of her three children, Gary Williamson and Lynette McCracken. She is also survived by granddaughters Amberley Parker and Brittany Brinkley, as well as their respective husbands Aaron Parker and Brian Brinkley. Surviving great-grandchildren are Stella and Harper Brinkley also by her 2 little companion dogs Thor and Freya .
