Billie F. Foster, 81, went to be with his heavenly father on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Service: 11 a.m. Monday March 6, 2017 at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till 11 a.m. prior to service. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park. Billie was born and raised in Amarillo Texas, and graduated from Amarillo High School. From there he faithfully served the United States Navy for four years. He went to Oklahoma Tech Trade School and graduated with an electrical engineer degree; he moved to Fort Worth Texas, and was a devoted employee to General Dynamics until its closing; he retired from the United States Postal Service in 1998. He held a degree in Theology, was a member of the Masonic lodge, and a Deacon at Birchman Baptist Church of Fort Worth Texas, where he lived until his demise. He had a love of nature and the outdoors as a leader in the Boy Scouts of America for 20 plus years. Billie is preceded in death by his parents, Glen C. and Mary Lois Foster. Survivors: He is survived by his only sister, Glenna Haywood of Amarillo; and numerous nieces and nephews. Amarillo Globe-News, March 5, 2017
