Bill attended Trimble Tech High School. He was married to Wanda Shewmaker on November 28, 1967. Bill had a career from 1962-2016 as a highly sought after crane operator with Rise Above Steel Co., Mid Cities, Fab Crete, Wildcat Crane Inc., Holloway Crane Co., Gorbitt Brothers and North Texas Steel. His career as a crane operator and the structures he helped to build left a legacy all over Texas and surrounding states. He loved spending time with his wife, Wanda, and the family they built together. He enjoyed opening his home to family and friends, riding his scooter to the mailbox, checking on his land, mowing, watching the news, wearing his favorite Hey Dudes, and staying busy in his shop.
Survivors: He was survived by his loving wife, Wanda, of 55 years: sons Billy W. Shewmaker and wife Clarissa, Steve Williams and wife Debbie, Michael Hamilton and partner Stan, and daughter Tiffanie Holder and husband Steven, 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
