Funeral Service: 2 pm Monday October 15, 2018 at Birchman Baptist Church of Fort Worth. Visitation: 5 pm to 7 pm Sunday October 14 at Laurel Land and one hour prior to service beginning at 1pm to 2 pm at the church. Interment: Laurel Land Memorial Park.
He was born on December 13, 1932, to Henry Pete and Eudene (Mayo) Mallory in Van Zandt County, Texas. When he was 10 years old, his family moved to Port Arthur, where he graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. He received his bachelor’s degree from Howard College in Birmingham, Alabama. He served in the Army during the Korean War and was stationed at Fort Bliss. He married Barbara June O’Neal in 1957, and they moved to Birmingham where he started a residential building business with his father-in-law. He and Barbara have four children. Barbara went to be with the Lord in 1989. He married Anita Sue Raper in 1993.
He was involved in residential construction and land development for over 40 years, including Diamond Homes of Alabama and BMW Development Corporation in Texas.
Bobby was a long-time member of Birchman Baptist Church and a deacon. He was a founder of the Pregnacy Help Center of Fort Worth and was involved in Grace Evangelistic Association, Southern Baptist Pioneer Missions Foundation, and the Baptist World Alliance.
Bobby was preceded in death by his brother, Henry James Mallory and sister, Emily Jeanette Everette.
He is survived by his wife, Sue; his children, Jill (David) Shanks, Stuart Mallory, Kathryn (Eddie) Horton, and Elizabeth (Chris) Oliva; his stepdaughters Allecia (Matt) Lowe, and Stephanie (Kirby) Rabalais; grandchildren, Derek Horton, Rob Horton, Kate (Nathan) Williams, Micah, Hollynd, and Alexa Lowe, Mackenzie, Kirby, Jr., Patrick, Levi, Ruthanne, and James Rabalais; great-granddaughter, June Williams; and sister, Welda Sue Jones.
In Lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Pregnacy Help Center of Fort Worth and Birchman Baptist Church.
