Graveside service: 11 a.m. Thursday in Laurel Land Memorial Park of Fort Worth. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Laurel Land Funeral Home.
Bob was born Sept. 8, 1927, in Detroit to J.O. and Effie McCord. As a young boy, he moved to Fort Worth with his parents. He served in the Army in occupied Japan as a master sergeant. After his Army service, he worked as a salesman selling furniture. In 1960, Bob opened Texas Upholstering Co., which is still in operation at the same location. He was a devoted husband and father who worked hard providing for his family. He was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge. His two favorite hobbies were keeping his immaculate yard and fishing with his son. He also enjoyed traveling, but his pride and joy were his grandchildren.
Bob was preceded in death by his loving wife of 60 years, Ann.
Survivors: Son, Mark McCord and wife, Susan; daughter, Cheryl McCord; grandchildren, Krista and Ryan McCord and Matthew Reimer; and numerous nieces and nephews.
