

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Ridglea United Methodist Church. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Chapel.
Charley was born Nov. 14, 1924, to John W. and Lina D. Baish. He was raised in Clear Springs, Franklin Township, Pa. After graduating from Dillsburg High School, he attended Williamson Free School. Charley was drafted into the military and served in the Army Air Corps from March 1943 until being discharged in February 1946. He was stationed at Carswell Air force Base in Fort Worth where he met Martha Jean Perkins in July 1945 and later married in September of the same year.
After Martha died, he later married Margie Sarkis. He and Margie moved to Lakewood Village in Denton County and lived there for many years. Margie passed away after many years of marriage. Charley then moved to Fort Worth to be closer to family so they could help take care of him. He had lived in Fort Worth for the last six years.
Charley was a longtime employee of Goodyear Tire and Rubber Co. and retired after 36 years as an auditor. He enjoyed fishing and woodworking and loved to sing.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents, John W. and Lina D. Baish; siblings, John W. Baish Jr., Ruth Rorhbaugh, Donald Baish and Charlotte Lawrence; first wife, Martha Jean Perkins Baish; and second wife, Margie Sarkis Baish.
Survivors: Left behind to cherish his memory are his children, Richard Owen Baish and wife, Laurie, of El Paso and Randall Eugene Baish and wife, Betty, of Fort Worth; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
