

Charley was one of 12 siblings and proudly served in the United States Air Force for 20 years after graduating from South High School. Following his military service, he enjoyed a fulfilling career with the United States Postal Service for 20 years before retiring.
On September 29, 1967, he married the love of his life, Annette Moss, in Sherman, Texas. Together, they built a beautiful family. Charley’s favorite hobbies included playing racquetball, fishing, and spending time spent with his family.
Charley was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers: Duxie, Rural, Durie, Jonathan, Willie, Otis, and Rudolph, as well as his sisters: Azeria Knighton and Gloria Weathers.
He leaves behind his cherished wife of 57 years, Annette Weathers; his son and daughter-in-law, Greg and Jessica Weathers, and their children: Cayden, Ashli, and Kaiya; one great-granddaughter, London (Princess); and his daughter, Jessica Weathers. He is also survived by his brother, Raymond Weathers; sisters-in-law Julia Taylor, Jeanette Davis, Margaret Elaine (Wade) Hartso, Rhonda Moss, and Carol Moss; along with many other relatives and friends who will deeply miss him.
A visitation for Charley will be held Tuesday, July 29, 2025 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, July 30, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, TX 76134. A committal service will occur Thursday, July 31, 2025 from 9:15 AM to 9:30 AM at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211.
