Graveside service: 9:15 a.m. Friday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Clara was born Jan. 3, 1930, in Cyrial, Okla., to Lois and William Smith. She married her husband, Lt. Col. John Wargo, in Lawton, Okla. They traveled all over the world with the U.S. Air Force, staying on numerous bases, including Japan for three years. They started their family in Dayton, Ohio, and eventually settled in Albuquerque, N.M. Clara loved traveling, playing golf and going to the theater with her friends. She loved her family very much and will be dearly missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; brother, William Smith Jr.; sister, Helen Marie Rathjen; and niece, Linda D. Lujan.
Survivors: Sons, John David Wargo and Michael Scott Wargo; grandson, Richard Scott Ttaverzo Wargo; and nephew, John Michael Rathjen and wife, Debbie.
