Conway Hale Sawyers went to be with his Lord on Friday, September 29, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. A celebration of Conway's life will be held at Laurel Land Chapel of Chimes Thursday at 10 am. Conway was the Arkansas Baptist State Missions Director for 10 years and previously was Associational Director for 17 years. He received a Bachelor’s Degree from Baylor University and a Master’s Degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. His favorite hobby was making saw dust. He is survived by his wife of 66 years Marceille of Burleson; daughter Kathy Weatherly and husband Bill; son Larry Sawyers; two sisters, Willene Austin and Vera Breeding; 2 grandchildren; 3 nieces and 2 nephews.
