Daniel W. King

Service: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 2016 Willis Lane, Keller. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 1 to 3 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel, with rosary at 6:30 p.m.

Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Texas Oncology.

Born April 20, 1961, Daniel grew up in East Northport, N.Y., where he met and married his high school sweetheart, Debbie. Married 27 years, they moved to Texas in July 1992. He was the proud father of Amanda, 21, and Matthew, 18. Amanda will graduate from TCC in December 2010 while Matthew will attend Southern Arkansas University in the fall.

Dan was an active member of the Haltom High School Band Boosters accompanying staff and students at football games and competitions. He was employed the past 14 years by ACD in Richardson.

A special thanks to Texas Oncology staff that had helped in his battle since December 2008.

Survivors: His wife, Debbie; children, Amanda and Matthew; parents, Dorothy and Roy King; sisters, Margaret and Cathy; brothers, Billy and Michael; and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. He loved them all.
