

Daniel grew up in Odessa and was an Odessa High School graduate. While in high school he was on the boxing team and proud of being part of the Golden Gloves. Daniel was an avid football fan. At age 6, he had to have a Miami Dolphins jacket and he followed the Dolphins for many years. More recently he could be found cheering on his beloved Dallas Cowboys.
Daniel was an animal lover and enjoyed fishing and camping. He liked stargazing and he loved writing poetry. He shared his great sense of humor by always telling jokes and making people laugh, he was just a natural cutup.
Most importantly, Daniel had a deep love for the Lord. He often read his bible and quoted scripture. He always discussed the joy he would feel to see Jesus when he was to be called home one day.
Daniel always had a helping hand. His empathy and care for others, allowed him to make a more personal connection while helping those in need. Though sometimes his help would bring him burdens, his true desire was to be a blessing to others. A beloved husband, son, brother and friend will be dearly missed by those blessed to have known him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis, grandparents, Charles and Dorothy Walden and Woody and Pauline Richardson. He is survived by his wife, Melanie; mother and stepdad, Beverly and Jim Armstrong; brother, Chris Walden; brother, Mark Beville; stepsister, Angie Garrison; stepbrother, Jim Armstrong, Jr.; and many nieces and nephews, aunts and uncles and cousins and a host of friends.
