Danny "Papa" Marbut

July 18,1948 – March 24, 2024, Benbrook, Texas- Danny passed away at 75 years old surrounded by family after a courageous fight with cancer. He was a beloved husband, father, brother, and grandfather “Papa.” He was born in Fort Worth, Texas, to Lindell and Betty Marbut. Danny was a graduate of Polytechnic High School, class of 1966 and a graduate of UTA with a Bachelors in Accounting. While working at Marshall R. Young Oil Company he met the love of his life Donna Fenoglio through a mutual friend. They married in a double wedding ceremony in Las Vegas, NV on September 22, 1979.

He was an avid golfer and former member of Ridglea Country Club for 40+ years. Danny and his friends would go on annual golfing trips. He loved deer hunting, water and snow skiing, camping, country western dancing, and traveling. He and Donna traveled annually on trips to include Europe, Canada, Mexico, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Alaska, and all over the United States. Cruising was also a passion. He retired from Howell Instruments in 2019. His most proud job was being Josh and Emma’s Papa!

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 44 years, Donna, son Ryan and wife Jessica, grandchildren, Joshua and Emma, brother Randy Marbut & Wynell Tidwell, and many relatives and friends.

We will celebrate Danny’s life at Laurel Land Funeral Home, 7100 Crowley Rd., Fort Worth, TX. 76134: Visitation April 5th from 6:00pm - 8:00 p.m., Funeral April 6th 10:00 a.m. followed by graveside burial.
