David Robert Hughes, age 85, passed away peacefully on October 15, 2025. He was born on March 18, 1940, and lived a life filled with faith, service, and love for his family. David attended Baptist Bible College and dedicated nearly 30 years of his life as a Chaplain, faithfully serving others and sharing his love for the Lord.
In his free time, David enjoyed sailing and spending time on his sailboat. During his years in Georgia, he also was a part of a Chick-fil-A Motorcycle Club, combining fellowship and fun with his love for the open road.
David is survived by his loving wife, Glenetta (Susie) Hughes; his children, Debbie Harmon, Cynthia Simpson (husband Keith), Jim Hughes (wife Alicia), Misty Isom (husband Fred), and Lacey Simpson (boyfriend Jerry Benton); as well as many cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
