Deborah Anne Brown, age 68, of Fort Worth, Texas, passed away 5 May 2026. She was born in El Paso, Texas on 20 November 1957. Deborah worked her way through college receiving a Bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Texas A&M University and a Pharmacy degree from The University of Texas. She had a career in Pharmacy until a stroke at age 66 ended her career.
She grew up in St. Croix, Virgin Islands where she made friends with the people who cared for the race horses. She developed a love of horses, later competing in dressage. She also met a woman who collected seashells and raised orchids, who paid for her to attend Grier in Pennsylvania. Deborah loved seashells and orchids for the rest of her life. St. Croix also instilled in her a love of sailing. She sailed in New Zealand and in the Caribbean, surviving a hurricane at sea. Deborah took to scuba diving, diving in New Zealand and in caves in Mexico. At the Botanic Garden in Fort Worth she became certified as a Master Gardener. She loved her cats and those who knew her often came to love and own cats too.
She is survived by her brother, Eric, and close friends Bill, Charles, Zoë, and God-daughter Phoebe.
She is buried at Laurel Land Cemetery in Fort Worth.
