Delia Lopez

Delia Lopez was born on October 21, 1921 in Havana, Cuba. Raised as one of seven children, she was always surrounded by a large and loving family. She met and married her lifelong love, Anthony and together they built a life and made a challenging but adventurous journey to the United States where there was the promise of freedom, education and opportunities for their beloved daughters, Daisy and Yvonne.

Delia spent her entire life devoted to her husband and daughters. She was known amongst all her friends and family as an amazing cook. Her culinary skills were unmatched by any Cuban restaurant, and she often lamented about not opening a small restaurant. In addition to cooking for her loved ones, she also enjoyed sewing and loved making dresses for Daisy and Yvonne throughout their childhood.

Delia was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Anthony who passed on April 14, 2002. They had a rich and fulfilling life together and are survived by their daughters, Daisy and her husband Stuart, Yvonne and her husband Craig, grandchildren Dianna and Alex, and great grandchildren Jaylen, Jordan, Makayla, Slade and Elle and many loving family members and friends.

A funeral service for Delia will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at 9651 - Laurel Land FH-Chapel of Chimes, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134. Following the funeral service will be a committal service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Laurel Land Memorial Park - FW, 7100 CROWLEY RD, FORT WORTH, TX 76134.
