

Donald Ritenour, 90 died June 13th 2022 in Lewisville, Tx with family by his side. Don was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on April 29th, 1932, where he grew up. Don was a sergeant in the US Army in the Korean war and later met and married Carolyn Lauer in 1958. Together they had 4 children, Eric Brian, Steven Brent, Ilene Beth and Bradley Edward. Don started out selling yellow page adds for GTE Directories and worked his way up to the position of Vice President of the company before retiring after 30 plus years. During his tenure Don and his family lived in East Lansing Michigan, Euless, Texas and Edmonds Washington before retiring to Lake Fork in Alba, Texas to live a life of relaxation and fishing. At every stop Don had lake property that he either built a home on or had a trailer to stay so he could get away on the weekends. Don and Carolyn were able to tour the world visiting places like Tokyo, Paris and Hawaii. He was the primary caretaker for Carolyn who suffered from Alzheimer disease for 5 years until her death. Don was a positive thinker, studying the greats like Earl Nightingale and Zig Zigler. He took pride in all he did from his appearance, his automobiles and his family. He leaves behind a legacy of hope, love and a can-do attitude approach to life. Don is survived by his Son Eric Ritenour and wife Michelle, Son Brad Ritenour and wife Jenny, 11 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by wife Carolyn, daughter Eileen Beth and Son Steven Brent.
