Donnie Lee Robinson

Donnie married the love of his life, Judy Cheyne on July 26, 1962, in Ft Worth. She preceded Donnie in death on March 1, 2016. They were married for almost 54 years.

Donnie was proud to be a Pattern Maker for the steel industry for over 45 years. But more than that he loved being a dad to Joe and Scott. He enjoyed traveling with Judy all over the United States throughout the years. Most recently he became a volunteer at Huguley Hospital garnering a Volunteer of the Year Award of which he was very proud. Donnie also loved to sing in the church choir and went western dancing with his wife and friends nearly every weekend.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Nina Robinson, sister, Velma O'Neal.

Surviving members of Donnie's family include Sister, Debbie Proctor and her husband, Bob of Nashville; Brother-in-law, Steve Cheyne of Dallas; Sons, Joe Robinson and wife, Cherie of Burleson; Scott Robinson and wife, Jana of Burleson. Grandchildren, Samantha Robinson, Daniel Robinson, Emily White and husband Joel, Tyler Robinson, and Hannah Robinson; And 8 wonderful Great Grandchildren whom he adored: Peyton, Hayden, Keaton, Carter, Piper, Sutton, Wyatt, and Barrett. Donnie had many cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

Donnie will be greatly missed by all that loved him, but we know that he has been reunited with Judy and is resting in the loving arms of his savior, Jesus Christ.

A memorial service for Donnie will be held Sunday, April 3, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Cahill United Methodist Church, 8501 FM 917, Alvarado, TX 76009.
