Dorothy was born Dec. 3, 1929, in Brownwood to Ila Virgil Grimes Kerbow and Robert Owen Kerbow, who both preceded her in death. She was married to Bobby Lloyd Barker in September 1945. Bobby also preceded her in death on February 12, 1980.
Dorothy lived in Texas her entire life. She loved God and was a lifelong member of Ridglea West/ Agape Baptist church. She dedicated her life to caring for her family.
Survivors: Dorothy is survived by her son, Dwain Barker and his wife, Sandy Barker, of Arlington, and her daughter, Carol Barker Mendez of Fort Worth. She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Monica Mendez Ripley and husband, Kevin, and their children, Megan and Katie, of Frisco, Michael Mendez and wife, Amanda, of Fort Worth, Anna Shaw Cotton and husband, Luke, and their daughter, Mia, of Fort Worth, Mandy Shaw Blankenship and husband, Chad, of Fort Worth and Bobby Barker of Arlington. She is also survived by her siblings, Clydine Roberts and Juanita Anderson, both of North Richland Hills, Ovella Thompson of Garland and Robert Kerbow and wife, Joyce, of Temple.
