She was born on October 27, 1925 to Joseph and Elsie LaMore. She married Robert Campbell in September 1962 in Ft Worth TX.
Dorothy was a retired real estate broker and during her career she was the recipient of the Victor Award for sales volume and management at Helen Painter and Company for 2 consecutive years.
While in the Ft Worth area she served 5 terms as President of the Fort Worth Police Officers Ladies Auxiliary. She spent many hours fundraising and organizing charity events. She especially enjoyed shopping for and wrapping gifts for the children at their Christmas event. Dorothy and Bob relocated to their home on Ranch House Rd in Willow Park in 1985. They spent many years there enjoying friends, camping with the Western Wheelers camping group and traveling in their motor home to meet up with family in Florida or visit family in Michigan. Bob built a cow barn and they raised some cows that Dorothy fell in love with. Dorothy loved sitting in her chair watching out the big window for the deer, cattle and other wildlife that would occasionally wander onto her property from the ranch behind her. She loved her Dallas Cowboys and Tony Romo. She didn't miss many games if the Cowboys were playing on television. Dorothy was proud of her city and was a very active member in the community. She was on the Willow Park City Council for many years and Mayor Pro-Tem for a time. She served on the Willow Park Planning and Zoning Board. She was a Charter Member and served on the Board of Directors for the East Parker County Chamber of Commerce. Growth in the community was something Dorothy was most proud of. The Willow Park Police Department and Willow Park Fire Department were especially close to her heart and she always made them special Pecan pies from her holiday baking. They were her boys. The family would like to thank Hospice Plus and Willow Park Rehabilitation Home for their compassionate care shown to Dorothy and the family in her final days. She was preceded in death by a sister Charlene and brothers, Arnold, Roderick and Joseph.
Survivors: She is survived by many nephews and nieces.
