

Doyle David Harris, 92, of Fort Worth passed away on Tuesday, January 19, 2021. He was born April 24, 1928 in Iredell, Texas to his parents, Joe and Annie Harris. Doyle was a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin. He honorably served in the United States Navy. Doyle was a Civil Engineer for the Corps of Engineers and retired after 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Neta Harris; and son, Brian Harris.
He loved God and Jesus. As a humble man he always said “ I hope God lets me in Heaven when I die.”
Doyle was a loving son, husband and father. He always had everyone's care before himself. He loved going to church with Neta and family. Doyle enjoyed playing guitar, banjo and singing hymns and old country songs with family and friends. He Volunteered over 1000 hours at Baylor All Saints and Baylor Southwest hospitals. Doyle restored 4 Model A Fords and worked on them with family. After Neta passed away, he learned to dance country and ballroom, and travelled the USA for competition and won 3 ProAm Platinum National Championships. He loved food especially ribs and anything sweet.
Doyle is survived by his sons, Gary Harris and wife, Silvia, and David Harris; and 5 adopted grandchildren.
We love you, Doyle! We miss you! We will see you in heaven.
