

Edward Leon Barton Jr. (RADIO), age 66, of Fort Worth, Texas passed away on Sunday, June 5, 2022. Our “Life of the Party” Edward Leon “Radio” Barton Jr. was born to Julia Adell Woods and Edward Leon Barton Sr. on August 19, 1955, in Fort Worth, TX. He was educated at Poly High School within the Fort Worth Independent School District.
He was a member of the New Providence Missionary Baptist Church, under the direction of the late Dr. C.A. Noell, now Pastor Howard McLean Jr.
Edward was a faithful truck driver for many years. He loyally drove for companies such as: Minyards, Sack N Save, and Ben E Keith. He loved dancing, making everyone laugh, and football. He was a loyal fan of the Dallas Cowboys.
On Sunday, June 5th, 2022, Edward “Radio” Barton surrendered to the call of his Lord and Savior and transitioned from earth to glory. He was preceded in death by his parents, Julia and Edward, and his sister Gennis Barton – McDaniel.
Those left to cherish his wonderful memory are his three children: Edward McGruder, Edward Green (Lavern), and Latoya Green. Three grandchildren; Alexander, Dazarrea, and Kaleah. His siblings: Robert Holmes (Gwen), Carolyn Campbell (Michael), Kenneth Barton (Camela), Charlotte Rivers (Robert), Shirley Ann Smith, and brother-in-law George McDaniel; his godmother, Annie Lou Chafer; a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who all knew and loved him.
