

Elizabeth "Beegie" Ardyce Zorns Milner, 85, peacefully passed away into the arms of Jesus on May 17, 2025. A graveside service will be held at Boyd Cemetery on June 13, 2025, at 2:00 PM. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Shannon Rufe Snow Funeral Chapel.
Beegie was born in Wheeler, Texas, to Benton Ardyce and Virginia Zorns on September 10, 1939. She graduated from Boyd High School in 1958 and later earned a BA in Art from the University of North Texas. Throughout her life, Beegie dedicated herself to teaching and inspiring others. She taught art in DISD, pre-K and kindergarten in FWISD, Sunday School, served as a Cub Scout Den Leader, and taught at St. Patrick Catholic School in Meridian, MS, as well as at Mother's Day Out in Decatur.
Her creative spirit knew no bounds. Beegie started sewing at an early age and had a deep love for all things handmade. She found joy in drawing, painting, knitting, crocheting, quilting, jewelry-making, pottery, and cake decorating. Above all, Beegie cherished time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren grow and thrive.
She is survived by her twin sister, Virginia Arrington; daughter, Annie Milner Riggs and husband Jayme; son, Elbert C. Milner Jr. and wife Esther; grandchildren, Wyatt Allsbrooks, Brody Allsbrooks, Coleman Milner, and Alyssa Milner; and nephew, Brad Barber.
Beegie was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Elbert C. Milner Sr., with whom she shared 54 years of marriage; her parents, B.A. and Virginia Zorns; her sister, Florence "Baby Sis" Greenfield; and her nephew, Brent Barber.
Her legacy of love, creativity, and faith will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
