

Elmo was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Arbra and Ula Wiley on February 8, 1931. He served in the United States Army in 1954 - 1956 and was a veteran of the Korean War. He moved to Dallas, Texas where he met the love of his life, Josie Cawthon. They married on April 28, 1956 and celebrated their 62nd anniversary in April. Together they raised 3 children, Guy, Dale, and Paula. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and friend. He demonstrated reliability and dependability especially with his work ethic and retired in 1985 after working at General Motors for 28 years. He became a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 75 and loved reading and studying God’s word. Nothing made him happier than sharing his faith and talking about all the Lord had done for him. Even in his passing he was seen praying and talking to Jesus.
He is survived by his wife Josie Wiley, son Guy Wiley and wife Regina, daughter Paula and husband Rod Cummins, daughter-in-law Christy Wiley. Sister Wilma Gene Clemons. Grandchildren, Matthew Wiley, Samantha Hallak, Jake Wiley, Cody Wiley, Serena Tawil, Amber Bingham, Ashley Bingham, Cameron Wiley, Kristen Watson, Andrew Cummins, Jonathan Cummins, Benjamin Cummins, Leah Cummins, Eric Cummins, Olivia Cummins, Nathan Cummins, William Cummins, Samuel Cummins and Gabriel Cummins. Great-Grandchildren, Alexis, Christian, and Annabelle Wiley, Madison Dingman and Lilliana Tawil, Alyssa, Peyton, and Morgan Hallak. Elmo is preceded in death by his son Dale Wiley.
His pallbearers will be Guy Wiley, Andrew Cummins, Jonathan Cummins, Benjamin Cummins, Eric Cummins and Cameron Wiley.
The viewing will begin at 2:30 pm and the funeral service will be held at 3:30 pm on Saturday, December 22, 2018 at Laurel Land, Fort Worth in the Chapel of Chimes. The services will be officiated by his friend and pastor, Kenneth Cummins. Burial will follow at Laurel Land Memorial Park.
