Parents were Fred Nave and Lizzie Magness. She hopped on a train shortly after graduating from high school and became one of our nation's "Rosie the Riveters" while working for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle, Wash.
Janie married Bill in Seattle on July 15, 1945. Following the war, they returned to Fort Worth, where they began to raise a family of three boys and establish their family business of Grimes Design Studio for 44 years. Bill and Janie attended Meadowbrook United Methodist Church and Janie was involved in the Fort Worth Garden Club and was an avid golfer at Colonial Country Club.
These meager words will never truly represent the love, faith and kindness Janie brought to this world and her family. For we are the fabric of her life -- and her grace will live through all of us. Survivors: Sons, David, Steve and Clayton; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
