

MOTHER Espernola Jackson, age 91, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. Espernola Jackson was born on April 28, 1930 to the late Frank Hyson and Carlene Greer in Crockett, Texas. Espernola attended the Buffalo Independent School District where she attended the Buffalo High School. Later, the family relocated and she attended and graduated from the I.M. Terrell High School in Fort Worth. After obtaining her high school diploma, she enrolled in college and took several college courses.
Esponola met and married the love of her life, Mr. Wallace Jackson in 1971. They remained faithful to God and each other until his demise in 2007. Espernola was employed with the US Post Office where she work for many years as a clerk. She retired after 10 years of hard work and labor in 1971. She then became an entrepreneur and owner of EJ's Millinery's were she worked for 48 years. She enjoyed sewing and making hats. Espernola was a faithful member for 15+ years of the Holy Tabernacle Church of God in Christ under the leadership and tutelage of Bishop Robert Sample. She loved her church but most importantly, she loved God.
On September 14, 2021, Mother Espernola Jackson traded this earthly life for a Heavenly Home. She is now at rest with those who've gone before her; husband, Wallace Jackson; son, Bennie LaRoy Scott; grandson, Andre Newton; and brother, Michael Manuel. She now leaves her secrets of sewing and hat making with her children, Mavis Davis (Grant), Carolyn Butler, Alvin Scott (Schlundrya), Wayne Scott (Marlene) and Wanda Scott; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Dorothy Reynolds, Antoine Williams, Kevin Scott, Derek Scott, Christopher Butler, Demetrius Branch, Quincy Johnson, Jonathan Anderson, Courtney Butler, Sheena Scott, DeChanelle Scott, Nathan Murray, Kendra Danas and Alexis Scott; and a host of other relatives and friends.
