Eunice Aurelia Thomas

Eunice Aurelia Thomas, age 94, of Duncanville, Texas passed away on Wednesday, January 19, 2022. Eunice was born February 13, 1927. Eunice Thomas lived a full and gracious life. She was a happy and graceful mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great-great grandmother. Eunice was born in Waxahachie, Texas to William Miller and Ola Lopez. After graduating from Terrell High School in Fort Worth, Texas in 1945. Eunice kept a warm and loving home where she treated every child as her very own. While Eunice was a doting mother at home, she served as a mother attending United Community Church of Compton in Compton, CA and Willow Street Church of God in Long Beach, CA. She attended church regularly and ended each night reading her bible. She also loved to tell stories, play cards, watch General Hospital and westerns. Eunice had a smile that could brighten a gloomy day. She kept her mind sharp by solving crossword and Sudoku puzzles and an even sharper tongue with her quick wit. Eunice Aurelia Thomas will be greatly missed, but she will forever live on in the memories and hearts of those in her legacy. Eunice was predeceased by her siblings; Ellis, Wilma, Dorothy, Catherine, Curtis, John and Velma; as well as her husband, Johnny Calvin Thomas, Sr. Eunice raised six children; Curtis, Mahlone, Jerome, Deborah, Wilma June and Johnny Calvin, Jr.; who in turn raised fifteen grandchildren and over twenty one great grandchildren.
