Felicia Shavonne Swan came into this world on November 11, 1979, in Fort Worth, TX, with a natural love for life and a gift for helping others. At a very young age, she came into the knowledge of Christ as her Lord and Savior. She was very active in church as a mentor and leader to her peers. Felicia's selfless act of love, kindness, and reflection of God's light touched the lives she came across. She put forth her energy to make sure others were okay from the beginning to the end.
Felicia devoted her life's work to her three daughters. She instilled in them the importance of sisterhood, love, and, most importantly, the significance of faith. She was an esteemed scholar and proud to be both alumni and staff for Texas Wesleyan University, where she was scheduled to earn her Doctorate in Psychology in December 2020. To earn this terminal degree would mark the dawn of her career. She had recently acquired a property for her new counseling practice, Mind Body Story, where she hoped to connect with individual narratives and witness her clients' journeys.
Jerry Lee Evans, Jr. was born on February 3, 1973, in Hurst, TX. He was known for his goofy antics and boisterous personality. During his young adulthood, he was an admirable bowler alongside his father and older brother. His professional career was in the private security industry. In his adult life, Lee came to know the saving grace of Jesus Christ and loved the ministry of Dr. Tony Evans of Oakcliff Bible Fellowship, where he, Felicia, and their three girls regularly attended as a family. He was a proud father, husband, and happy to be a family man.
Felicia & Lee first crossed paths in the Fall of 2015. They both quickly knew their relationship was special. After getting permission from her daughters, Lee proposed in the Spring of 2016, and they were married on November 5, 2016.
Awaiting their heavenly arrival was her grandfather Floyd Moore Jr.; her father Glenn Phillips; her aunt Pamela Boston; his parents Jerry Lee Evans and Sandra Evans Sr.
They leave behind her daughters Destiny Swan, Trinity Swan, and Hope Swan; her parents Melanie and Chaucer Colson; her sister Amber Phillips; her brother Avery Colson; her grandparents Francis Moore, Billie Oguntoke, and Mattie and John Colson; his sisters Sharon Owens and husband Rob, and Tammy Trimble; his brother James Evans, and a host of family and friends left to cherish their memories.
