Florentina Zavala

A Visitation for Florentina will be held Wednesday, October 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 East Lancaster Ave, Fort Worth, Texas 76112, with a Rosary starting at 6:30. m

Mass of Christian Burial will occur Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 10:30 AM at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church, 201 Thornhill Dr., Fort Worth, Texas 76115. Burial to follow will follow at Laurel Land – Rose Hill Memorial Park.

Florentina was born in La Estancia, Michoacan, Mexico to Audon Cortez and Dolores Martinez on May 10, 1937. She was happily married to Benjamin Zavala Lopez for 43 years and together they had 10 children.

Florentina is preceded in death by her husband Benjamin, sons Jose Luis Zavala, Raul Zavala, daughter Ana Willars, and stepson Benjamin Zavala Sosa.

Florentina is survived by her sons Jose Espiridion Zavala, Benjamin Zavala, daughters Cristina Z. Ramirez, Lilia Z. Lopez, Silvia Z. Nagi, Patricia Z. Rocha, Berta Zavala, and 20 Grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Paul Zavala, Alejandro Ramirez, Anthony Lopez, Alfonso Zavala, Ayman Nagi and Tarak Nagi.
