

On July 26, 1943 in Jefferson, Texas, Van and Eugenia Ruffin announced the arrival of their bouncing baby boy whom they named Freddie. Today, we celebrate the home going of this child of God.
Freddie attended public schools in Jefferson, Texas and Freddie was baptized at an early age.
He served in the United States Army with Hawaii being his favorite location to serve in.
After serving in the Army, he relocated to Fort Worth Texas where he met and married Linda K. Freeman on April 17th, 1968. To this union, one son was born. He became a member of Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church where he served faithfully and served faithfully in Sunday School until his health declined.
He worked at Bell Helicopter and retired after 42 years of service.
On May 10th, 2025, Brother Ruffin peacefully stepped away and accepted his Master's Hand to receive eternal rest.
He was preceded in death by his parents, siblings, and best friend, James Brown.
He leaves to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 57 years, Linda Ruffin; son, Rodney Ruffin; granddaughter, Rodnea Ruffin; sister, Sweetie Pruitt; brother-in-laws, Robert Floyd( Linda), Freddie Freeman, Donald Floyd( Cynthia); sister-in-law, Doris Millsaps (Dwayne); a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends.
