

Gary Lynn McCoy, 76, passed away Sunday, October 31, 2021. Visitation will be held Saturday, November 6, 2021 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Laurel Land FH, with Graveside services following at 11:15AM at Laurel Land Memorial Park 7100 Crowley Rd. Fort Worth, Texas, 76134
Minnie and J.D. McCoy were blessed with a son, Gary Lynn McCoy, in Fort Worth, Texas on January 14, 1945. His family members remember him as a beloved husband and Uncle. He had a great sense of humor and a witty come-back for everything. He was an Eagle Scout and served in the Naval Air Reserve. He went on to various maintenance positions. Gary loved to travel but only if it were by car or train. His hobbies included watching car races and participating with Live Steam Trains. The Live Steam Trains gave him true enjoyment. He was a member of the Southwestern Live Steamers, the Houston Area Live Steamers, and the Maricopa Live Steamers. He was proceeded in death by his parents and brother, Charles V. Gibson, and his nephews, Van and Terry Gibson.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Letha Grace McCoy, sister-in-law, Hilma Connella, (Bud), two nieces, Rozean Griffin and Sandra Jo Southerland, (Paul), great nieces and nephews, and other family members and friends.
