George C. Burton, 84, passed away January 8, 2017. The family will have a gathering for friends and family on Saturday, January 21, 2017from 2-4 PM at Laurel Land Funeral Home. Memorials: in lieu of flowers please make a donation in George’s honor to the SPCA at www.aspca.org/donate. George was born in Oklahoma, the last of five children. he was in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. When he returned home from the Navy he worked in the oil fields of Oklahoma, and in the defense and construction industries in Texas. He enjoyed the ocean, traveling and history programs. He leaves behind one sister, two children, two grandchildren, four great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and dear friends.
