George Donald Inman (Don) was born November 24, 1954 in the Central American country of Panama to Christian missionary parents of John and Betty Inman. Don’s childhood was shared with his siblings starting at Elim Academy, a missionary school in La Paz village. As a child he was known to be fun, adventuresome, and ready to rally around others for the fun to be enjoyed! He loved music and to sing especially in spanish.
Upon graduation from high school at Briarwood Christian School in Birmingham, Alabama, Don served in the U.S. Navy. He served on several aircraft carriers including a stay in Japan. His post-secondary education was completed through DeVry Institute in Dallas, Texas, achieving a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management. He married and had 4 children; his three sons (Daniel, Chad, and Bradley) and one daughter (Janice). Don came to know the Lord Jesus at an early age and over the years continued his spiritual growth.
Don enjoyed music and taught himself to play guitar. He loved football season, attending high school games and watching the Crimson Tide and the Dallas Cowboys. He was an avid cyclist and was riding 30 plus miles a week before the accident. He was a faithful servant to TMI Leadership Consulting where he supported the business in many ways. He recently enjoyed a part-time delivery truck driver role for Ram Tool.
Most of all, Don was an overcomer that against all odds trusted in the grace of God to overcome many challenges life through his way. His involvement in Gateway, Turning Point and several men’s groups such as Wingmen and Power Based Living were sources of great strength and encourage to him. He became a friend to many as a kind unassuming servant of Jesus Christ.
