

Gerald McEntire, 88, of Weatherford, TX, passed away on March 21, 2015. He was born in Ladonia, TX on August 13, 1926. Gerald was a graduate of Texas A&M, and held many important jobs throughout his career. He was the chief juvenile probation officer of Jefferson County, a vocation rehabilitation counselor for the state of Texas, the owner and director for over 20 years of the Fort Worth Trade and Technical Schools, and a teacher at the CCA facility in Mineral Wells.
Gerald is survived by longtime companion, Virginia (Gen) Cromer of Fort Worth; Alice McEntire of Groves; children, Elaine McEntire Lupovitch and Kirk O’Neal of Houston, Nancy McEntire and Danny Felsinger of Weatherford, Donna and Scott Brooks of Denver, Colorado, David McEntire of Maui, Hawaii; grandchildren, Sheldon Felsinger of Dallas, Elliott and Lauren McEntire of Weatherford, John McEntire of Weatherford, Isaac Lupovitch and Shelby Swindoll of Houston, Zachery McEntire of Weatherford, and Thane McEntire of Norway; great-grandchildren, Caden and Cooper McEntire of Weatherford; and brother, J.L. McEntire and Birsen of San Antonio.
The visitation will be held at Shannon Rose Hill in Fort Worth on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 from 6-8pm. The graveside service will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Beaumont on Friday, March 27, 2015 at 3:30pm.
