Geraldine, lovingly known as Gerry, was born on December 4, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to Theodore and Lucille Hazzard.
In 1966, Gerry moved with her family to Fort Worth, Texas, where she helped her father manage five McDonald’s restaurants throughout the Metroplex. She was easy going and never met a stranger. She was happy and laughing any time you met her—if you knew her laugh, you’re probably hearing it now in your head.
Gerry had so much love and compassion for her community cats who often sought shelter at her home. She spoiled each and everyone of them. They were very blessed to receive her loving care.
Gerry was known by many as an extremely hard worker and always made sure she was dressed sharp for the occasion. She was a faithful member of Southcliff Baptist Church.
Gerry never married and did not have children of her own, but there were plenty of kids in the family to make up for that. She was a friend to anyone she encountered. We know she is at peace and happier than ever, now watching over us. This is not goodbye—until next time, Aunt Gerdo
