Gladys was a shining light in the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey on this earth was marked by love, compassion, and unwavering faith in God. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives were touched by her. We asked that you remember her for the way she lived her life and for the impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. She longed to be free of pain and able to move freely. She spoke often of sitting on a hillside observing all the wondrous beauty that she would experience once she made it to Heaven. She knows that in Heaven there will be so many beautiful flower gardens, hummingbirds, butterflies, and never-ending peace.
She was excited to be reunited with her husband, Jerry Crutchfield, daughter, Vicki Crutchfield, parents, Elzie and Estelle Crowley, in-laws, Erwin and Hazel Crutchfield, brothers, Bill and Kenny Crowley, and a host of extended family, friends, and beloved pets.
She leaves behind her daughter, Dianne Crutchfield, grandchildren, Tyler and Mariah Tarkington, brothers and sisters- in- law, Don and Glenda Crowley and Tom and Carolyn Crowley, sister-in-law, Carol Crowley, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Molly Crutchfield, brother-in-law, Jimmy Crutchfield, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
She wanted to express her love and gratitude to her care team, Dr. Jan, Jason, Catherine, Sharla, Ivy, Dr. Frank, and Ashley who made such an impact on her life. She often shared that these individuals were more than just her caregivers, they were her friends.
