Hardy Stanley Swinson

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our father and beloved husband Hardy Stanley Swinson on February 8th, 2025 at the age of 94. He was a cherished father, friend, son, husband, brother, grandfather and great grandfather, who served his country in the Air Force for 28 years. His presence is and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Born on December 10, 1930 in Rhine, Georgia, but growing up in Milan, Georgia, Hardy was the child of Henry and Fonnie Swinson. Throughout his long life, Hardy traveled the world, enjoyed his family and enjoyed many professions including working for GSA and being an auctioneer after retiring from the Air Force as a Senior Master Sergeant in Fort Worth, Texas. He was charming and fun, engaging to all who knew him and was very devoted to his wife Anna and children.

Hardy is survived by his wife Anna Swinson, his children Lori, Valerie, Dawn, Hardy II, and Caroline. He is survived by his youngest sister Merrell Rogers, and preceded in death by his parents, 4 brothers and older sister. His many grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as immediate family are deeply saddened by his loss.

Services will be held at the Chapel of Chimes at Laurel Land Funeral Home 7100 Crowley Road, Fort Worth, Texas 76134, on Friday, February 21, 2025 at 9:00 am, with the burial following promptly at 11:00 am at the DFW National Cemetery, 2000 Mountain Creek Parkway, Dallas, Texas 75211.
