Ms. Hazle Lavera Bohon

Hazle "Memaw" Bohon, age 90, of Cleburne, Texas, went to be with Jesus on Easter Sunday, April 5, 2026. She devoted her life to her faith, her family, and serving others. At the age of 6, she gave her life to Christ, a commitment that guided her throughout her life.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother. On January 12, 1953. she married the love of her life, Merlin W. "Monkey" Bohon, in Texarkana, Texas. Together, they built a strong and loving family.

Hazle was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Copeland and Lena Robinson May, her beloved husband Merlin W. Bohon, her siblings, infant son Christopher Bohon, and her granddaughter, Kolyn Paskey.

She is survived by her children: Dugan Bohon & family, James Bohon & family, Alvin Bohon & family, Joy Bohon Larabell & family,. Sandra Bohon, Dennis Bohon & family, along with numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren.

Hazle worked in sales at JCPenney and was a faithful member of Crowley Assembly of God Church in Crowley.

She had a heart for giving and especially supporting Pleasant Hills Children's Home and missionary work. She found great joy in music and creativity. Hazle played the piano, organ, accordion, and she loved ceramics. Above all, she cherished her family and church family.

Hazle's life was a testament to faith, love, and devotion. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering belief in God that will live on in all who knew her.

A visitional will be held at Lifegate Church beginning at 9:00 AM followed by the Funeral at Lifegate Church, 601 SW Thomas St, Burleson, TX 76028, US, on April 11, 2026, at 10:00 am.
