Helen Maxine Ramsey Hubbard

Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home. Viewing: 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Shannon Rose Hill Funeral Home, 7301 E. Lancaster Ave., Fort Worth.

Helen was born Sept. 5, 1926, in Whitt. She was a child of the Great Depression and a member of the Greatest Generation. She was an excellent bowler, cook and pianist, who loved the Lord and faithfully served her church as a financial secretary for over 28 years. She was married to Hulon Bruce Hubbard for 60 years until he lost his battle to cancer in 2006. Helen devoted her entire life to serving others and even in her last years at the nursing home, she was always looking for ways to help the staff out by doing light cleaning and folding napkins. Anyone who knows Helen smiles when they recall how she was constantly tidying up so that everything looked immaculate.

She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors: Her children, Kathy Mattingly and her husband, Don Mattingly, Randy Hubbard, Phillip Hubbard and his wife, Kristen Hubbard, Greg Hubbard and his wife, Amy Hubbard; her siblings, Glen Ramsey and Juanda Beshears; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and other family.
